What to do before shooting a property?

Nowadays it’s easy to get access to a large quantity of information. Thanks to this, the human eye has become more critical and exquisite. That said, and if we think about the process of buying or renting a property, we will realize that clients give great importance to some details that, most of the times, we let slip.

How can I catch their attention?

Time is money in the real estate market, so you need to trigger the interest and curiosity of your potential clients as soon as possible! Pictures are very important for those who look for properties online. Bad photos usually mean less successful deals. Get under your client’s skin and pay attention to the smallest details. Analyze the spaces and make sure that everything’s clean and tidy.

What should I do?

If the property you want to photograph is inhabited, you must clean everything and remove all the useless objects that may take the client’s attention out of what really matters: the property and its features. Once again, be one step ahead of your competition and show your properties on photos that optimize the place.

Tips?

Pay attention to all the rooms. Whenever you take a picture of a bathroom, make sure that the toilet lid is closed and that there aren’t any used towels or personal objects spread around and that the room is clean. In the kitchen, check if there’s any trace of meals, if the kitchen worktops are clean and tidy and if the waste bin is closed.

Remove all personal objects. Clients want to view the whole property in raw. It is important that you give them the chance to customize it in their minds. If there are any magnets or family and friends photos on the fridge, remove them first. Overall the main idea is taking photos of an impersonal environment that, after closing the deal, can be dressed according to the client’s preferences.
