The social networks made it easier to communicate with those who are looking for a property and, more importantly, intensified the mouth-to-mouth communication.

In other words, taking into account the involvement level needed by the client, those who want to buy, rent or sell a property search for information, opinions and experiences from other clients. Real estate agencies need to adapt themselves to the new business reality, to pay attention to the changes derived from a more demanding and more informed consumer and to plan and analyze their activity on social networks.

Some years ago the internet was thought as a connection between computers, nowadays the idea focuses on a connection between people. Thus, real estate agencies must create content which matches the interests and the needs of their clients instead of doing things blindly.

By posting other things on their Facebook page (décor suggestions, news about sustainability and environment, tips about the real estate market), real estate agencies are proving that their focus isn’t limited to closing deals. In a competitive environment going further is a prerequisite. Then, if you show yourself interested in those who visit your page, independently if they close a deal with you or not, you are building relationships based on trust and credibility.
