How to recycle an old real estate website?

If your website hasn’t been updated for a long time, it doesn’t mean that you can’t bring it back to life and give it a new image. Bringing an inactive website back to life can be an arduous work because you need to organize all the information about your real estate agency and your properties.

The following steps will help you to renew your real estate website.

1 – Redefine your target: sometimes we start a project with one thing in mind and later we realize that there’s another one which is more relevant. Being aware of what you want from your real estate website is the first step to take. You will only be able to organize and update your website after you decide that. Do you want to sell properties, advertise your real estate or increase your contact portfolio?!!

2 – Make it simple: less is more, so keep your real estate website simple. Create a list of the things your website needs to have, for example: name, logo, a section called “about us” and another called “buy/sell properties”, so that your clients may know both your company and what you do, and a contact page so that visitors can get in touch with you.

3- Forget the idea of a “perfect” website. There’s nothing perfect for everyone because each person has different tastes. The most important thing is that your website is user-friendly and that your clients find what they are looking for in one or two clicks. As time goes by, you can change and update the website as it deems better.

4- Receive feedback: sometimes, when we work a lot on a project, we stop seeing the mistakes. You should show your website to someone else, so that that person can give you an opinion about its information and simplicity. This way, you will be aware of the things that you need to improve.
